iPlanet 6.x Support

Common Web Server management tasks for iPlanet v6.0 are performed within the iPlanet Administration HTML interface. Some tasks require that your Web Server be restarted to implement changes, such as modifications to SSL support.

! It is important to familiarize yourself with the process of stopping and starting your Web Server.

! If your Web Server is SSL enabled, you will be required to supply a password when starting your Web Server.

To Start your Web Server:

Launch the Administration HTML interface:
Select Start > Programs > iPlanet Web Server > Administer Web Server.

Select the server instance you wish to administer by selecting the correct server name from the drop down list.

Select Manage.

Select the 'Server On' icon to start your Web Server.

Select 'OK' to confirm and continue.

You have successfully started your Web Server.

To Stop your Web Server:

Select the 'Server Off' icon to stop your Web Server.

Select 'OK' to confirm and continue.

You have successfully stopped your Web Server.
