  1. When you first install VisNetic Website and launch Server Properties, you will be presented with the dialog "We will now create a new key ring. The key ring is used to hold keys and certificates used for TLS/SSL cryptographic secure operations.
    NOTE: You must set a key ring password in the following dialog.
    Click OK

  2. Enter your new key ring password. For increased security, do not save your password.

  3. Click on the Key Ring tab. Click on the button "New Key Pair"

  4. A wizard will appear, choose Next

  5. Select your site from the drop down list which will represent your common name in the CSR.
    This should be your site's fully qualified domain name such as www.entrust.net

  6. Enter your Organization Name and Organization Unit. Choose Next.

  7. Enter your Locality, State/Province and Country code. Choose Next.

  8. Enter the requestor's name and email address. Choose Next.

  9. Click on the "Save As" button and save the CSR to a folder.
    By default it should save to C:\Program Files\Deerfield.com\VisNetic WebSite\Admin\cert-request.pem

  10. Choose Next, Next and Done. This automatically copies the CSR to your clip board ready for you to paste.
    If it does not then rename your cert-request.pem file to cert-request.txt. Copy and paste the CSR for your certificate enrollment.

Your CSR should look similar to the below example:

Make sure you save changes, if you exit from server properties or shutdown server. You will be prompted if done.
