Entrust Unified Communications Certificates

Entrust Unified Communications Certificates provide greater flexibility to support powerful new communications products like Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007, without sacrificing security controls.

Entrust UC Certificates are:

  • Suited for use with server products that support multiple secure communications protocols and may need to process communications for multiple domains and multiple hostnames within domains
  • Able to secure 10 or more hostnames on a server with the same SSL certificate using X.509v3 Subject Alternative Name (subjectAltName) extensions
  • Compatible with Microsoft Exchange 2007 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007
  • More secure than wildcard certificates since Entrust UC Certificates specify exactly which hosts and domains are to be protected
  • More flexible than wildcard certificates since Entrust UC Certificates aren't limited to a single domain

Entrust UC Certificates are based on our powerful Advantage Certificates. They include:

  • 128/256-bit SSL encryption
  • Support for authentication between Web browsers and Web servers, as well as server-to-server authentication
  • Unlimited re-issue guarantee within certificate lifetime (reduces unexpected costs due to minor errors while deploying SSL certificates)
  • One-year, two-year or three-year certificate lifetimes
  • Strong browser support, trusted by more than 99 percent of all browsers
  • Around-the-clock online support

Customers that try our service seem to like what they get, and they like it so much they tell their friends. More than 97 percent of our customers renew their subscriptions, and, month after month, more than a third of our new customers are referrals from friends, colleagues and business partners.

Here are some of the things customers point to when asked what makes Entrust Certificate Services better:

  • Entrust was the first certificate authority (CA) in the world to earn the WebTrust for Certificate Authorities (CAs) Seal of Assurance from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA). A WebTrust Seal provides you the assurance and confidence in the security of a public key infrastructure (PKI)
  • We help you prevent service disruptions and reduce monitoring costs by delivering automatic notification of upcoming SSL certificate expiration
  • Independent customer surveys indicate that Entrust provides superior service and support when compared to our competition
  • Our CA is based on industry-leading PKI (public key infrastructure) developed by Entrust's world-class cryptographers and software developers
  • Entrust Certificate Services are hosted at Entrust's ultra-secure CA facility
  • Entrust Certificate Services are competitively priced

If you're an existing customer, we'd love to hear your opinions too!

  • Have you got your Billing, Technical and Authorization Contacts Details to hand?
