Question:

How do I install my SSL Certificate on an IBM HTTP/Websphere server?

Answer:

Create a file for your Web Server Certificate.

  1. Rename the file containing the Web ServerCertificate to an .arm extension, for example Chain.arm.
  2. Enter ikeyman on a command line on UNIX, or start the Key Management utility in the IBM HTTP Server folder on Windows.
  3. Select Key Database File from the main menu, then select Open.
  4. In the Open dialog box, enter your key database name or click on key.kdb if you are using the default. Click OK.
  5. In the Password Prompt dialog box, enter your correct password and click OK.
  6. Select Personal Certificates in the Key Database content frame, then click Receive.
  7. Select the Browse option to browse to the Web Server file. Click OK.
  8. In the Label dialog box, enter a label name and click OK.
