How do I generate a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) on Sun Java System Web Server?

Answer:

1.  Log in to your Sun Java System Web Server administration and go to the Server Certificates tab.

2.  Click Request under Server Certificates to start the wizard.

3.  Select your configuration and click Next.


 

4.  Select your token and password. Click Next.


 

5.  In Step 3 of the wizard, enter the following certificate DN information and click Next:

Server Name (CN):  The domain that you are securing (for example, test.entrust.com)

Organization (O): Your legal business name

Country (C): Select your country



 

6.  Specify the key type RSA 2048 bits and click Next.


 

7.  Specify the certificate type CA signed Certificate and click Next.


 

8. Complete the wizard. In the last step, you are presented with a copy of your CSR. Copy and paste this into a text file (for example, Notepad) and store it until you are ready to request your certificate.
