TN 7896 - Certificate Retrieval Error when generating Code Signing Certificate

Problem: When retrieving my Entrust Code Signing certificate I receive the following error

170455 Could not create User in DSA: Can't build user DN in DSA: cn=, o=, l=, c= .


Cause: Code Signing certificates use the same verification information as the Extended Validation certificate to build the certificate's Distiguished Name. As a result the account must be enabled and verified for Extended Validation before a Code Signing certificate is created succesfully.

Solution: Request Extended Validation for an externally facing domain on your account and complete the verification information. This can be accessed from the Managed portal at Admin Tools -> Contract Information. Then select the Client Domain Names tab and select "Request" for one of the External domains.
