Instructions for Enrolling to your CMS Account

Step 1 – Authenticate with temporary password

Starting April 6 2009, Entrust Certificate Management customers will receive an email with a link to enroll to the
new authentication platform. Your email will also include a temporary password. Enter your username (same
username as always) and the temporary password in the form (below).



If you did not receive an email from Entrust with a link and a password:
When you access your account
there will be a link titled “Recover my password”. Click on this link and an email with that temporary password
and link will be sent to your email.

Step 2 – Define a new password



You will be required to enroll a new password. Follow the instructions to ensure that your new password is at
least 8 characters and contains an uppercase, a lowercase, a numeric character and doesn’t include your name.

Step 3 – Choose Questions and Answers



The authentication application will now ask you to select some security questions and provide answers. The
IdentityGuard platform will store these and use them to verify your identity at various times. There is a long list of
questions to choose from. You will have to select five.




Step 4 – The Confirmation Challenge



To confirm your enrollment in the IdentityGuard system you will be asked for answers to three of the questions
you enrolled.



Once you have answered the questions correctly, you can now log into your Certificate Management Service
account.
