TN 7737 - Installing the Entrust Certificate for F5 Big IP

Generate your CSR:
1 - In the F5 BIGIP web GUI, select SSL Certificates under Local Traffic.
2 - Under the General Properties field, specify the friendly name you want to give your certificate.
3 - Edit the Certificate Properties to specify the DN information you wish to have on your certificate.

Issuer: CA that will issue your SSL certificate (Entrust)
Common Name (CN) : FQDN of the server or internal host name
Division or OU: Department you work in, "IT" for example
Locality: Your City
State: Your State or Province
Country: 2 Letter Country Code
E-mail Address: Your e-mail address
Password: Password for the certificate. Do not use any special characters for this field.

Installing your SSL Certificate:

1 - Start the BIGIP interface and under Local Traffic, select SSL Certificates.

2 - Select the name that was given to the Certificate during the CSR generation phase.

3 - Point the GUI to the .crt file that you created for the Webserver certificate.
4 - Click Open and then Import to complete the installation.

Installing the L1B Intermediate Certificate:

1 - Start the BIGIP interface and under Local Traffic select SSL Certificates.

2 - Under Import Type select Certificate and Create New.

3 - Enter EntrustL1B as the name.

3 - Point the GUI to the .crt file that you created for the L1B Cross certificate.
4 - Click Open and then Import to complete the installation.

Setup SSL on your Server:

1 - Create or open the SSL Profile that will use the certificate that is being installed.

2 - Under Configuration, select Advanced.

3 - Select the SSL certificate that you have just installed and under the Chain section, browse the L1B file that you imported previously.

4 - Save and Exit the configuration to complete the installation.
