TN 7736 - Installing the Entrust Certificate for Cisco ACS 3.2
Certificate Signing Request (CSR) Generation
1 - Click System Configuration under the navigation bar
2 - Click ACS Certificate Setup
3 - Click Generate Certificate Signing Request
4 - Fill out the requested fields:
Common name: Enter the domain that is to be secured on the certificate. This is usually a fully qualified domain name (e.g. mydomain.com).
Organization: Enter the legal business name of the organization.
Organizational Unit: Enter the your department name (e.g. IT).
City/Locality: The city in which your company is currently located.
State/Province: The state in which your company is currently located.
Country/Region: Select your country/Region.
5 - In the private key file box, enter the directory in which the private key is saved along with the file name you want for this private key. For example, c:\myPrivateKeyFile.pem
6 - In the Private key password field, select a password to protect the private key. Make sure you remember this password, as it will be needed to complete the installation process.
7 - Select the Key length as 2048 bits
8 - Select SHA-1 as the digest to sign with
9 - Click submit to create the CSR based on these settings
Certificate Installation
Before beginning, obtain your Entrust SSL Certificate and copy and paste it into a text editor. Save it as a .cer file. For example, entrustSSL.cer .
You must install the Entrust Intermediate Chain Certificate before you install the SSL Certificate.
1 - Click System Configuration in the navigation bar
2 - Click ACS Certificate Setup
3 - Click ACS Certification Authority Setup.
4 - Copy and paste the Entrust Chain Certificate into a text editor and save it as a .cer file. For example, entrustChain.cer
5 - In the CA certificate file field, enter the full path and file name of the certificate. For example, c:\certificates\entrustChain.cer
6 - Click submit
7 - Click System Configuration in the navigation bar
8 - Click Install ASC Certificate
9 - Select Read Certificate from the file option. Enter the full directory path and filename of the certificate. For example, c:\certificates\entrustSSL.cer
10 - In the private key box, enter the full directory and file name for the certificate. For example, c:\myPrivateKeyFile.pem
11 - Enter the private key password that was specified during the CSR creation
12 - Click submit
