How do I install a chain certificate in iPLanet 4.x?

Answer:

To install the Entrust L1C Chain Certificate in your Web server complete the following:

1. Click Install Certificate.
2. Under Certificate For, select Server Certificate Chain.
3. Ensure the Cryptographic module is Internal (Software).
4. Enter the Trust Database password in the Key Pair File Password box.
5. In the Certificate Name field, enter Entrust L1C Chain Certificate.
6. Select Message Text (with headers).
7. Open a Web browser and go to the URL that appears in the confirmation email you received from Entrust.
   
   Your certificates appear. The Entrust SSL certificate is in the section named Entrust SSL Certificate and the chain certificate is in the section named Entrust L1C chain certificate. The certificates look similar to this example:

8. Copy the Entrust Chain Certificate to your clipboard. You must include the ----BEGIN CERTIFICATE----- and -----END CERTIFICATE----- lines.
9. Paste the Entrust Chain Certificate into the text box under Message Text, ensuring that it is all left-aligned with no trailing white space.
10. Click OK.
11. Click Add Server Certificate.
12. Click OK to the warning regarding requiring a restart. You should receive a success message.
13. Click OK.
14. Restart your Web server for the changes to take effect.
