TN 6549 - Why do I received "The site is using an outdated encryption method"?

When using Opera web browser to visit your site using https:// protocol, you may recieve the following pop-up alert message stating:

"The site is using an outdated encryption method"

It appears that Opera browser security setting prefers

a site (server hosting the site) matching one or more of the following criteria will trigger the dialog:

The protocol SSL v2 is used
Encryption methods with 40 or 56 bit keys are used
Key exchanges are performed using RSA or Diffie-Hellman (DH) keys less than 900 bits long

The CSR (Certificate Signing Request) generated would have contained a 512 bit key length instead of the recommended 1024 key bit length.

To resolve the matter please generate a new CSR with a 1024 bit key length and submit your new CSR for certificate reissue. Once you receive the new certificate, it would need to replace the existing one on the server.
